Members of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly held the meeting with Ambassador Henrik Villadsen, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed security situation in eastern Ukraine, human rights violations in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and exchanged views on the humanitarian situation in eastern Ukraine and the situation with internally displaced persons.
During the meeting, the implementation of various OSCE projects in the framework of assisting participating States in fulfilling their OSCE human dimension commitments, namely in the field of democracy, human rights and the rule of law, was discussed.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the development of democratic institutions in Ukraine, implementation of reforms, including the judiciary, media rights in Ukraine, counteraction to propaganda and information security of the OSCE region.
