During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening political dialogue, prospects for strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They also talked about cooperation in the areas of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the two countries, in particular through the intensification of cooperation within the framework of the ‘Trio +’ initiative of the Eastern Partnership of the European Union and cooperation within international parliamentary organizations.
The interlocutors paid special attention to strengthening inter-parliamentary contacts, including the possibility of holding a sitting of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Parliament of Georgia, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine next year.
