“This is the first meeting of the Group members with Mr. Michael as Ambassador of the State of Israel to Ukraine. We had the opportunity to express our sincere congratulations and hopes for fruitful cooperation for the development of friendly relations between our States,” said Oleksandr Kunytskyi, Co-chair of the Group of the Parliament of Ukraine for Interparliamentary Relations with the State of Israel.
During the meeting the following issues were discussed:
- intensification of inter-parliamentary cooperation;
- the current state of bilateral relations and legislative initiatives for their further development;
- pension reform and its effectiveness;
- development of trade and economic relations, in particular in the agricultural sector;
- anti-Semitism, the Holocaust and historical memory;
- joint development of the IT industry;
- Israeli medicine in Ukraine.
The participants of the meeting expressed their gratitude to Mr. Michael Brodsky for the visit and constructive dialogue. “We are confident in further effective cooperation,” Oleksandr Kunytskyi stressed.
