Head of the Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in Donetsk, Luhansk Regions and Autonomous Republic of Crimea, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations Dmytro Lubinets visited Mariupol, where he took part in events on the occasion of the city day and the festival of Greek culture ‘M??? ??????’.

The Chairperson of the Committee noted: “The ‘M??? ??????’ Festival is becoming one of the most notable and significant cultural events in Ukraine. It is symbolic that a great Greek holiday takes place in Mariupol - thus the city confirms its status as a cultural center of eastern Ukraine.”

The festival showed the color, beauty and richness of the Greek communities of the Azov region. Residents of Mariupol and guests of the city, who came from all over Ukraine, learned more about the history of the city and the people who helped to build it.

“In my opinion, the ‘M??? ??????’ Festival makes our country diverse, multicultural and strong. This event not only demonstrates the best achievements of Greek culture, but also creates an atmosphere of mutual respect for the authentic traditions and cultures of other national communities,” said Dmytro Lubinets.
