During the visit, members of the delegation visited and studied the work of the Cantonal Parliament of Bern and the Swiss Federal Parliament; meetings with members of the National Council took place.
Ukrainian parliamentarians listened to a series of lectures by representatives of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the State Agency for Development and Cooperation and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs on bilateral relations between Ukraine and Switzerland, Swiss peace policy. In particular, they discussed Switzerland’s participation in the settlement of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, humanitarian aid to Ukraine, as well as international cooperation of the Swiss Confederation and projects implemented in Ukraine in the field of health, education, innovation and competitiveness of small and medium businesses.
Members of the friendship group took part in the Ukrainian-Swiss Business Forum, which was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation with the personal support of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Switzerland.
Ukrainian parliamentarians thank their Swiss counterparts for organizing the visit, as well as for their consistent and unwavering stance in support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state.
