Adopted as a basis the draft Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Recognition as Deported Citizens of Ukraine Who In 1944-1951 Were Forcibly Relocated from the Territory of the Polish People's Republic" (No. 2038).
The purpose of the bill is to restore social justice by recognizing as deportation the forced relocation of persons of Ukrainian origin in 1944-1951 from their places of permanent residence in the territory of the Polish People's Republic; and compensation for moral and material damage, social benefits for people affected by deportation in 1944-1951.
The draft Law proposes to make appropriate changes to the Laws of Ukraine "On the restoration of the rights of persons deported on national grounds" and "On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection."
