The parties discussed cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the
field of environment, in particular, in the implementation of the Association
Agreement.
In particular, it was necessary to intensify legislative work in the field of
environmental protection in accordance with the Association Agreement.
Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze informed the European Commissioner that the Committee
was the first to initiate the hearing on Ukraine's accession to the EU Green
Agreement. Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze stressed that it is important that the
updated appendix contains common commitments, as well as real tools for their
implementation.
"We already have an updated Annex XXVII (energy), but in practice there are no mechanisms for its implementation. Therefore, this should be avoided in future updated annexes," said the Chair of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the EU.
