Adopted as a basis the Draft Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Improvement of Corporate Governance of Legal Entities, the Shareholder (Founder, Participant) of which is the State" (No. 5593).
The draft law proposes to amend a number of draft laws, which, in particular, expand the powers of supervisory boards (for example, to approve strategic development plans and annual financial and investment plans); specify the list of responsibilities of the body or person who, in accordance with the constituent documents of the legal entity or the law, acts on its behalf, as well as who is a member of the collegial executive body of the legal entity; to specify the list of funds which are formed by the state commercial enterprises at the expense of profit (income); To give the Cabinet of Ministers the authority to approve the state property policy, etc.
Some of the provisions of alternative bills coincide in content with the relevant provisions of the main draft, but also contain a number of differences. In particular, they define part of the elements of corporate governance differently.
