During the holidays of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, MPs will not stop working. If necessary, the Parliament of Ukraine will convene for an extraordinary session. This was stated by First Deputy Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk during the Conciliation Council of the Parliamentary Factions and Groups.
The First Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine reminded of the need for a detailed analysis of the implementation of the Plan of Legislative Work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for 2021 for six months to understand the real picture and prospects for its implementation.
Ruslan Stefanchuk also congratulated Moldova on holding democratic early parliamentary elections and expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation between the Parliaments.
In addition, the politician informed about the results of participation in the International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine, which took place in Vilnius. In general, he noted that all participants of the conference praised the work of the Parliament of Ukraine in carrying out judicial and anti-corruption reforms.
"Almost all participants positively noted adoption of the draft Law No. 3711-d, and also expect us to adopt this week's bills on the High Council of Justice and the next steps towards the most important judicial reform," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
In addition, he reported on the positive perception of international partners of the return of criminal responsibility for Ukraine for lying in declarations, attempts to adopt a law on de-oligarchization as part of anti-corruption policy, as well as Ukraine's anti-corruption strategy.
"The adoption of these laws is an important, but not the final stage of Ukraine's transformation. More important is the implementation of the provisions of these laws. That is why both the Government and the President of Ukraine must consolidate their work so that the adopted laws become a real part of the development of our state," the First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.
