During the meeting, the Committee on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance considered the draft Law "On Amendments to Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Medicinal Products' Prohibiting the Sale of Medicinal Products to Children" (No. 5122). The main task of the bill is to prevent the uncontrolled consumption of medicines. The document prohibits the sale of medicines to citizens under 14 years of age, in case of doubt about the age of the buyer, the sale is subject to the presentation of a document proving age.
During the preparations for the second reading, the MPs made 18 amendments and proposals to the draftLaw, of which took into account - 10 amendments and rejected - 8.
The Committee recommends to the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the draft Law in the second reading and in general in the wording proposed by the Committee with the necessary technical and legal amendments.
Also, during the meeting of the Committee, Deputy Minister of Health, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Ihor Kuzin presented to MPs the communication strategy on vaccination against COVID-19, which involves all partners at the state level and international organizations, opinion leaders in order to promote this process as much as possible or to answer certain questions. In particular, the population is informed about vaccination, available vaccines, their effectiveness and possible reactions. Knowledge is also formed among the priority groups about the benefits of vaccination and the procedure for its implementation.
