Adopted as a basis the draft Law "On Amendments to Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine 'On the Number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine' on Increasing the Number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Connection with the Adoption of the Law of Ukraine 'On the Fundamentals of National Resistance'".

The draft law is aimed at increasing the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to create and ensure the functioning of a certain type of forces - the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the creation of which is provided by the draft Law on the Fundamentals of National Resistance, as well as the development of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the interests of the formation of the resistance movement.
The draft law proposes to increase the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by 11,000 servicepersons, ie the total number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be 261,000 people, including 215,000 servicepersons.
