The Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in Donetsk, Luhansk Regions and Autonomous Republic of Crimea, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations on its sitting considered the draft Law No. 4014 on Amendments to Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons" to Ensure Payment of Pensions and Social Assistance
The draft law stipulates that persons registered as internally displaced persons may receive pension benefits and social benefits, which are assigned in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine in the post offices of JSC "Ukrposhta" and in the state banks of Ukraine at the place of registration of the actual place of residence of such an internally displaced person in the manner prescribed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Following the results of consideration, the members of the Committee decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the draft law No. 4014 in the first reading as a basis.
During the meeting was also considered the draft Law No. 5463-1 on Freedom of Movement, Free Choice of Residence and Access to Electronic Services for Ukrainian Residence. The bill provides for the introduction of a new system of residence registration, which is based on the notification principle. According to the authors of the bill, this will increase the number of people who register their actual place of residence and live at the address of registered residence.
Based on the results of the discussion, the members of the Committee decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada to recommend the inclusion the draft laws No. 5463 and No. 5463-1 in the agenda of the fifth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
