Adopted the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Article 39 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases' on Regulation of Certain Issues of Social Protection of Medical Workers Affected by Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)" (No. 5415).
The bill is aimed at providing insurance benefits to health care workers in the event of the establishment of a disability group due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) within one year from the date of illness.
The law stipulates that the state provides insurance payments in the amounts established by law to medical workers of state and municipal health care institutions under the conditions of establishing a disability group due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), related to the performance of professional duties in conditions of increased risk of infection, within one year from the date of onset of the disease, and not calendar, as provided by the current version of the Law.
