The
draft law on the Presidential University will be developed in the near
future. This was emphasized by First Deputy Chairperson of The Verkhovna
Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk during the All-Ukrainian Forum
"Ukraine 30. Education and Science".
"We
plan to prescribe the structure of this educational institution, as
well as determine the place and role of intellectual property. I believe
that it is extremely important to discuss the introduction of
intellectual transfers in Ukraine.Forming the nation of intellectuals,
we must receive appropriate state protection. In addition, students and
teachers must have equal intellectual property rights to the product
they create," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
According to him, the idea of establishment of the Presidential University is extremely important and relevant.
"The
directions that are laid in its basis are aimed at ensuring information
and cybersecurity of Ukraine. Important skills will be developed here,
in particular - to manage with the help of the latest technologies, to
counteract hacker attacks, etc.," said the First Vice Speaker of the
Parliament of Ukraine.
According
to him, Ukraine is currently at the stage of a completely different
philosophical awareness of the concepts of "education" and "science".
"Gone
are the days when the strength and power of the state was determined by
the amount of scrap that could be taken out of the country. L At
present, the amount of intelligence invested in the scrap management
system is more important," Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
The
First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced
that, "a large percentage of the world's pantheon of intellectuals is
for Ukrainians. So we need to preserve this and do everything so that
the Ukrainian people can realize themselves in their beautiful state."
