The Deputy Group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Principality of Monaco met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France Vadym Omelchenko.

The members of the group expressed interest in the experience of the Principality of Monaco in the field of decentralization, energy, infrastructure, security, tourism, culture, etc.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France Vadym Omelchenko, in turn, thanked for the organization of the meeting and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation. He noted that thanks to the Group of Inter-Parliamentary Relations, partnership between Ukraine and the Principality of Monaco will be actively developed, and invited MPs to join efforts to present Ukraine as a partner and a country with which to cooperate profitably.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France briefed the MPson the political system, features of the social and cultural sphere of the Principality of Monaco, its history, as well as opportunities for cooperation between countries.

He noted that the Principality of Monaco consistently supports all UN initiatives aimed at protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

The development of Ukrainian-Monegasque relations takes place within the framework of other international organizations: UNESCO, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the International Exhibitions Bureau, etc.
