"The Parliament is ready to do everything possible to make tariffs less painful for the population," Dmytro Razumkov

Representatives of the Parliamentary Factions and Groups in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are ready to join the cooperation with the Government to make tariffs less painful for citizens. This was stated by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov.

At the same time, Dmytro Razumkov noted that the Verkhovna Rada has no authority to set tariffs. "Tariff formation is carried out by the executive branch, in particular, by the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities," the Speaker said.

According to Dmytro Razumkov, the situation with tariffs can be resolved only through the cooperation of various state authorities. "We cannot transfer responsibility to each other, because it will not work. I have repeatedly appealed to my colleagues in the Parliament and to local authorities that there should be a single joint work on this issue," said Dmytro Razumkov, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada.
