The Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence recommends adopting the draft Law on the Military Chaplaincy Service

During the meeting, the members of the Committee additionally considered the draft Law on the Military Chaplaincy Service (No. 4626).

The purpose of the draft law is to create the Military Chaplaincy Service and legislative consolidation of the status of military chaplains as servicepersons, determination of organizational and legal bases of interaction of military formations and religious organizations in the process of ensuring the functioning of the institute of military chaplaincy, in order to exercise the right of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, other military formations and members of their families to freedom of conscience, worldview and religion, taking into account the multi-religious nature of our state.

Following the discussion, the Committee decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the draft law No. 4626 as a basis, taking into account the proposals of the Committee.
