Oleksandr Merezhko, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation, met with Pavel Fischer, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security of the Senate of the Czech Parliament. During the meeting, the parties focused on strengthening the Ukrainian-Czech political dialogue, including the Czech Republic's support in countering Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, the aggravation of the situation in eastern Ukraine, and the OSCE's role in the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Special attention during the conversation was paid to the deepening of the inter-parliamentary dialogue, holding online meetings with the participation of Committees members, exchange of visits between Committees, as well as at the level of the Chairpersons of the Parliaments.

Chairperson of the Committee Oleksandr Merezhko expressed gratitude for the constant support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as the Czech Republic's compliance with the policy of non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea.
