Speaker of the Parliament Dmytro Razumkov congratulated the young scientists on the it's upcoming professional holiday - the Science Day. He awarded diplomas to 30 scholarship holders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the young scientists-doctors of sciences.
Dmytro Razumkov thanked them for their contribution to the development of Ukrainian science. "Thanks to your work, we will be able to build up Ukraine, make it comfortable for the lives of our children," said the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada.
According to Dmytro Razumkov, Ukraine must have a strong scientific potential. "This is what will make our country more competitive. I am grateful to you that despite the difficult conditions in which Ukraine finds itself, you have chosen the Ukrainian future for yourself," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
At the end of the meeting, Dmytro Razumkov wished the scientists new victories and achievements.
For reference: Nominal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the most talented young scientists were established in 2008. They are awarded to 30 young scientists of Ukraine under the age of 40 who have successfully defended their doctoral dissertation or prepared doctoral dissertation materials, which have been accepted for consideration by a specialized scientific council for the defense of doctoral dissertations.
Ukrainian scientists who have enriched science with outstanding achievements, conduct important basic or applied scientific research, and also have the intention and ability to perform topical scientific work in Ukraine can apply for the scholarship.
