During the round table on "Ensuring cybersecurity reform: strategic priorities", representatives of Government agencies and international organizations discussed the priorities of reforms needed by the Ukrainian cyberspace.
Opening the event, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation M. Fedorov said that the goal of the Ministry is to bring public services online by 2024. Therefore, the issue of cybersecurity is extremely important. According to him, the components of the algorithm are legislation in accordance with European standards, training of specialists in this field, infrastructure.
Susan Kutor, Deputy Director of the USAID Mission to Ukraine and Belarus, stressed the need to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the National Security and Defense Council, and the Digital Transformation Committee.
Oleksandr Fedienko, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Digital Transformation, noted that a lot has been done in Ukraine in recent years for digitalization and reminded of legislative initiatives.
During the roundtable, representatives of the USAID Cyber Security of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure Project presented a Roadmap for National Critical Infrastructure Cyber Defense Reform.
Summing up the meeting, USAID's Critical Security of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure Project Manager Timothy Dubel reaffirmed the project's readiness to provide the necessary assistance to the Committee in drafting the necessary laws, especially basic ones on cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, etc.
