Adopted the Law of Ukraine “On Amending Section II ‘Final and Transitional Provisions’ of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine to Reduce the Deficiency of Ferrous Steel Scrap on the Domestic Market”

Adopted the Law of Ukraine No. 5175 “On Amending Section II ‘Final and Transitional Provisions’ of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine to Reduce the Deficiency of Ferrous Steel Scrap on the Domestic Market”.

The Law of Ukraine No. 5175 extends for 5 more years the export duty on ferrous metal waste and scrap at the level of 58 euros per ton (such high rate was introduced in 2019 for a period of 5 years, the general rate being 10 euros per ton).

The implementation of the proposed measure has an economic and legal basis and will contribute to the implementation of Ukraine’s commitments in the field of environmental protection.
