Deputy Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk together with Vice-Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Malgorzata Gosiewska honored the memory of the fallen participants of the Revolution of Dignity.
The Vice Speakers of the Parliaments of Ukraine and Poland,
in particular, laid flowers to the Memorial Cross on the Alley of Heroes of the
Heavenly Hundred in Kyiv.
"We always remember the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred
and share the pain of families, relatives and friends of those killed on the
Maidan. I am sincerely grateful to the Vice Speaker of the Polish Sejm for this
human and European solidarity and empathy," Olena Kondratiuk said.
The Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada stressed that the Revolution of Dignity united the destinies of many people, not only in Ukraine, but also among our loyal friends, reliable neighbors and allies from other countries.
"We are united by much more than positions. We are united by common memories of the Maidan and the Revolution of Dignity. Together with Malgorzata Gosiewska, we spent more than one day and night in the House of Trade Unions as active participants in those events. Malgorzata Gosiewska remembers how she had a Polish media table at that time, and I coordinated the Information Center," Olena Kondratiuk recalled.
