The session was scheduled to take place in Brussels this year, but due to the epidemiological situation in the world, meetings are held online.
The agenda includes meetings of the committees of the EuroNest PA: on political issues, human rights and democracy; on economic integration, legal approximation and convergence with EU policy; on energy security; on social affairs, employment, education, culture and civil society; meeting of the Working Group on Belarus' issues and the Bureau of the EuroNest PA.Members of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the EuroNest PA, headed by its Chairperson Ivan Krulk, take an active part in the work of these committees. In particular, during the meeting of the Committee on Political Affairs, Human Rights and Democracy, was approved the report of the member of the Ukrainian delegation Volodymyr Aryev on the topic: "Strengthening democratic processes, the role of political parties, civil society, a fair electoral environment, free and pluralistic media."
On Tuesday, April 20, It is planned to hold the ninth plenary session of the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly, during which the debate will be held on the topic: "Restoration of stability and prospects for democratization of the Eastern Partnership after COVID-19", as well as presentations of approved resolutions on strengthening democratic processes, energy independence, health and quality of life, synergies between education and the economies of the EU and the Eastern Partnership countries.
