Adopted as a basis and in general the draft Law No. 5014 “On Amending Section ІI ‘Final and Transitional Provisions’ of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Amending Certain Legislative acts of Ukraine Aimed at Ensuring Additional Social and Economic Guarantees in Connection with the Spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)’ (Regarding Certain Issues of Completion of the 2020/2021 Academic Year).

The purpose and task of the Law of Ukraine is to minimize the risk of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) when assessing the learning outcomes of pupils (students) who complete general secondary education, and they receive in the manner prescribed by law documents on complete general secondary education.

In terms of its content, it actually continues the practice used in the previous school year. The law provides for giving students the right to choose the type of assessment of their learning outcomes - through annual assessment, or state final certification, or state final certification in the form of external independent evaluation.
