The Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights recommends adopting a draft law on the establishment of salaries for officials of state authorities, local governments and state-owned enterprises

At the meeting of the Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans, MPs considered the draft law on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine to Establish the Salaries of Officials of public authorities, local governments and state enterprises (No. 3034) and the draft law on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Establishment of Restrictions on the Salaries of the Management of Public Authorities and State-Owned Enterprises (No. 3034-1).

The draft law No. 3034 envisages limiting the salaries of managers of enterprises based on state, communal property, employees of enterprises, institutions and organizations financed or subsidized from the budget, civil servants and local government employees to 15 minimum salaries.

The alternative bill proposes to limit the level of wages to 10 minimum salaries and reduce the period of paid leave from 45 days to 28 days.

Following the discussion, the Committee recommends to the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the draft law No. 3034 and set up the working group to develop a systemic bill to modernize public sector salaries.
