First Deputy Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk took part in the regular General Meeting of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine held in Poltava.

During the meeting, Ruslan Stefanchuk delivered welcoming speeches from the President of Ukraine and the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and discussed with the members of the Academy the most pressing issues of lawmaking, participation of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine in reforming the domestic legal system and legislation.

"The National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine is the flagship of the development of legal science in Ukraine, the initiator of theoretical and applied research in the field of state and law. I hope that the achievements of the Academy will continue to contribute to the innovative development of the Ukrainian state and society, ensuring law and order, improving legal education in Ukraine," said the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the President of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine was elected. Academician Oleksandr Petryshyn became the President of the National Academy again.
