The Committee on Digital Transformation set up the Working Group on develop amendments to the legislation of Ukraine in order to solve the problem of gray imports of mobile terminals.

It is planned to involve (with the consent) MPs, representatives of state bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations, as well as representatives of international organizations and independent experts, representatives of public organizations in the work of the Working Group.

Oleksandr Fedienko, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee, has been appointed as Head of the Working Group. Members of the working group and those involved will work on a voluntary basis.

The need for changes in the legislation is justified by the fact that according to experts, 30% of imports are illegal. But many experts say that the share of "white" imports is less than 20% of real. According to the forecasts of an independent group of analysts Ukraine Economic Outlook, in 2021 the state budget losses from smuggling are expected at almost $ 1 billion.
