The members of the Committee considered the draft Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine No. 5243 "On the establishment of the Temporary Commission of Inquiry of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate possible illegal actions of government officials and others who contributed to the violation of state sovereignty and territorial integrity and threatened the national interests and security of Ukraine." According to the author of the draft Resolution, the adoption of the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will ensure the investigation of possible illegal actions of government officials and others aimed at cooperating with the aggressor state to undermine the sovereignty, territorial integrity, defense, state economic or information security of Ukraine during the armed conflict.
The Committee on Rules of Procedure, Parliamentary Ethics and Administration of Verkhovna Rada’s Work recommends adopting as a basis and in general the draft Resolution on the Establishment of the Temporary Commission of Inquiry to Investigate Possible Illegal Actions That Threatened the Security of Ukraine.
The participants of the meeting considered the proposals of the Committee to the draft Law of Ukraine No. 4254 "On Public Consultations" which is preparing for the second reading.
The draft law proposes to define the obligation of subjects of power in the exercise of their power management functions in accordance with the law to conduct public consultations with the participation of stakeholders.
During the meeting, the draft Law of Ukraine No. 4329 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning Granting the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption the Powers of a Public Authority with a Special Status and Subordinating Its Activities to the Interests of the People of Ukraine" was considered. The provisions of the draft Law propose to give the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption the authority of a public authority with a special status, to make it subordinate and accountable to the people of Ukraine.
The members of the Committee also considered the draft Law of Ukraine No. 4196 "On Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine to Ensure Effective Investigation of Criminal Offenses Committed by MPs of Ukraine" and the draft Law of Ukraine No. 4196-1 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Peculiarities of Criminal Proceedings against People's Deputies of Ukraine". Both draft laws concern the improvement of the procedure for conducting criminal proceedings against the MPs of Ukraine.
