Topical issues of Ukraine's transformation as European democratic state were discussed by First Deputy Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk with representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations.
"Churches can and should play an important role in shaping the cultural and educational component of Ukraine's Transformation Strategy. Today, their successes and achievements in the field of fulfilling their own fundamental tasks are an obvious and indisputable fact," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
During the meeting, the participation of the inter-factional parliamentary association "Transformation of Ukraine" in promoting the necessary legislative initiatives was also noted.
In order to reach a public consensus on the priorities for further democratic transformation of Ukraine, the participants agreed to organize and hold a series of national discussions on the development of the state.
