The Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights recommends the adoption in the second reading and in general the draft law No. 3780 on social protection of persons with disabilities.
The draft law No. 3780 proposes to establish a procedure for providing people with disabilities with housing adapted to their needs, in particular by replacing the occupied housing, which will promote the observance and realization of the rights of persons with disabilities by making appropriate amendments to the Housing Code of the Ukrainian SSR and the Law of Ukraine “On the Fundamentals of Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities in Ukraine.”
Chairperson of the Sub-committee on Social Protection and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities and Regulation of Activities of Their Enterprises and Public Associations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans’ Rights Serhii Hryvko reported that the Committee had received seven proposals, of which four were proposed.
The Committee approved a comparative table of the draft law taking into account the proposals voiced by the Chairperson of the Sub-committee and decided to recommend the adoption of the draft law amending some legislative acts of Ukraine on social protection of persons with disabilities in the second reading and in general.
