Priorities of Inter-Parliamentary cooperation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2021:

1. Repulse of Russian armed aggression and restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity, in particular:

- on the systematic basis of informing the parliamentary friendship groups of foreign parliaments about Ukraine's commitment to diplomatic methods of resolving the conflict with the Russian Federation;

- providing foreign partners with oral and written information on the continued violation of the ceasefire regime by Russian forces in eastern Ukraine;

- ensuring support for Ukraine's efforts to peacefully resolve the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict by exerting diplomatic, political and informational pressure on the occupying state and reintegrating the temporarily occupied territories;

- maintaining and/or increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, as sanctions are an element of Russia's deterrence and the only adequate tool for foreign governments to respond to the unacceptability of violent border changes in Europe. Sanctions against Russia must remain until the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity;

- providing up-to-date information on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories, the current course of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine and countering it;

- demonstration of full openness of Ukraine in the implementation of the policy of deoccupation and reintegration by inviting and facilitating the visits of foreign parliamentarians, heads of inter-parliamentary institutions to the line of demarcation in Donbass and the administrative border with the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

2. Encouraging Ukraine's international partners to implement the policy of non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea:

- informing about the new international format – “Crimean Platform”, as an international platform for discussing diplomatic ways to resolve the problems of occupation and annexation of Crimea;

- organization of thematic events on the basis of inter-parliamentary forums in order to highlight some negative aspects of the consequences of the Russian occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, first of all, the systematic violation of human rights, the rights of indigenous peoples, in particular the Crimean Tatar people, as well as the militarization of Crimea and the Black Sea region, the creation of Russian hybrid and military barriers to free navigation in the Black and Azov Seas;

- prevention of attempts by Russia to use any formats of meetings, negotiations, forums, conferences to legitimize the representatives of the occupation administrations, as well as preventing the use by organizers of international events of maps, diagrams and other drawings (symbols) that do not recognize the affiliation of Crimea to Ukraine, during international events in which delegations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine participate.

3. Strengthen work to promote Ukrainian narratives on international platforms, in particular in inter-parliamentary assemblies and international parliamentary organizations.

4. Deepening bilateral cooperation, especially with key partner countries and neighbors of Ukraine, both within the parliamentary groups on inter-parliamentary relations and inter-party relations.

5. Ensuring the intensification of the processes of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine in the parliamentary dimension (in particular, in the context of updating the Association Agreement with the EU, supporting reforms, Ukraine's accession to the European Green Course, obtaining Ukraine's NATO Membership Action Plan).

6. Assistance in the development of Ukraine's economic ties with foreign countries, in particular, intensification of cooperation with countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America (increasing exports and attracting foreign investment).

7. Assistance in creating a positive image of Ukraine abroad and the development of cultural cooperation(debunking fakes of anti-Ukrainian propaganda and breaking stereotypes, acquainting foreign partners with the best examples of modern Ukrainian culture).
