Adopted as a basis the Draft Law “On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Award of Scientific Degrees”

The Draft Law No. 4667-1 “On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Award of Scientific Degrees” improves:
- the process of attestation of higher education applicants;
- attestation of doctors of philosophy will be carried out by the permanent special council at ZVO, and doctors of art – one-time;
- scientific achievements of individuals, reviews responses to them, information about the special council, date/time/place of defense will be published on the website of the CEB and ZVO;
- the grounds for refusal to award the degree will be plagiarism, falsification, fabrication;
- on the same grounds it is possible to deprive a person of a degree already obtained;
- The Ministry of Education and Science will approve/cancel the decision of the special council, approve the procedure for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy/Sciences and submit it for approval to the Cabinet of Ministers.
