At a joint closed meeting, the Committee on Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence and the Committee on Law Enforcement of Ukraine heard information from the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine on high-profile events related to SSU officers and prospects for the development of the Service.

Following the consideration of the issue, the deputies decided to take note of the information, recommend the Security Service of Ukraine to inform the Committee on the progress of the investigation of the events related to its employees and in case of events or circumstances related to the Security Service of Ukraine, provide the Committee with relevant information in a timely manner.

Also, during the meeting, its participants discussed issues of joint work on the draft Law No. 3196-d on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the Security Service of Ukraine” to improve the organizational and legal framework of the Security Service of Ukraine in preparation it for the second reading.

The deputies heard information about the revelation of a network of telegram channels, the work of which is probably coordinated with the Russian Federation, and also discussed issues of cyber and information security of the state in terms of coordination and interaction of all relevant intelligence services.
