A meeting with members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania was held in the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation

The members of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation headed by the Chairperson of the Committee O. Merezhko met with the members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania headed by the Chairperson of the Committee Z. Pavilionis by video conference.

The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of strengthening the bilateral political dialogue, including the intensification of cooperation in the field of Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO, energy and cyber security, further strengthening of inter-parliamentary contacts, current international political developments, including issues of transatlantic solidarity, the agenda of the January PACE session and the development of relations with strategic partners.

Chairperson of the Committee O. Merezhko expressed gratitude to his Lithuanian colleagues for the constant support of the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine and the strategic course enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine for integration into the EU and NATO, and expressed hope for further institutionalization of Ukrainian-Lithuanian interparliamentary cooperation within international parliamentary organizations and at the committees level.
