Professionals with higher non-medical education who participate in the provision of medical care to patients with COVID-19 will receive additional payments to their salaries

Adopted the Law of Ukraine No.4464, which determines the legal status of professionals with higher non-medical education (biologists, microbiologists, virologists, biochemists, etc.) who work in health care facilities, and extends benefits to them (the right to proper working conditions, regular training, free use of information necessary for professional activities, reduced working hours and additional paid leave, free ownership of land, etc.), including a supplement to the salary for participation in the provision of medical care to patients with COVID-19.

The Law determined that the list of positions of professionals with higher non-medical education in health care institutions and the qualification characteristics of such positions are determined by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The Law also instructs the Cabinet of Ministers to immediately establish salary supplements for professionals with higher non-medical education who work in health care facilities and are directly involved in the elimination of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 during quarantine.
