The law provides for amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” regarding the possibility of reappointment for one year of a civil servant who has reached retirement age without mandatory competition annually.
The law also provides:
- removal of restrictions on the age limit of 65 years in the civil service;
- in connection with the needs of a civil servant by the decision of the subject of appointment may be left in the service after reaching 65 years of age with his consent, but not more than before reaching 70 years of age;
- in the case of appointment to the civil service of a person aged 65 and over, he is appointed for a term of 1 year with the right of reappointment without competition;
- provides for the possibility of reinstatement in the civil service of those employees who were dismissed on the basis of 65 years.
