The Verkhovna Rada received medical assistance from the UAE to combat COVID-19 and transferred it to hospitals

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has received medical assistance from the Government of the United Arab Emirates to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Parliament was provided with 25,000 sets for rapid testing for COVID-19 (IgM/IgG) and 100,000 protective masks. The aid received was transferred to hospitals in six regions of Ukraine.

“On behalf of the Ukrainian Parliament, I express my gratitude to the Government and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates. We very much appreciate the support that foreign partners provide to our country in counteracting COVID-19. The Verkhovna Rada transferred the received medical aid to hospitals of Ukrainian cities,” stated the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov.

According to him, medical assistance was delivered to 18 hospitals in Zhytomyr, Kharkiv and Lviv regions, as well as in Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Odesa regions.
