The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine signed Laws on Business Support for the Quarantine Period

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov signed a number of laws on business support for the quarantine period. It`s main goal is to provide social support to insured persons and certain groups of entrepreneurs.

Thanks to these legislative initiatives, insured employees whose work is temporarily suspended due to the introduction of restrictive measures will receive a lump sum payment of UAH 8,000. In the case of reducing the working hours of employees, entrepreneurs will be able to receive a one-time allowance to pay their employees – up to UAH 8 thousand per person (in proportion to the reduced working hours).

Entrepreneurs who are legal entities will also be able to receive compensation. They are eligible for reimbursement of a single contribution to compulsory state social insurance. The amount of payment is equal to the average amount of paid SSR for the last 10 months. Single taxpayers of the first group are exempt from paying the single tax for the period from December 2020 to May 2021.

In addition, the laws prohibit the collection of rent under lease agreements of state and municipal property during the quarantine period. However, permits remain valid for the duration of the quarantine restrictions and for three months thereafter.
