The Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy hosted the first meeting of the working group on the development of compensatory mechanisms to support restaurant, trade and entertainment business during the quarantine restrictions.

The participants of the meeting discussed the problems that entrepreneurs face during the quarantine. Proposals to support business were mentioned: moratorium on inspections, tax holidays, simple and affordable mechanisms for lending to small and medium-sized businesses, state guarantees for loans to micro, small and medium-sized businesses, introduction of a compensation certificate, one-time payments to small and micro businesses, covering the costs of wages and rent, compensation for employees who are forced not to work on weekends, etc.

During the discussion, it was emphasized the need to create a bill to support various sectors of the economy during the ‘weekend quarantine’.

The discussion was attended by MPs, representatives of ministries, the European Business Association, The Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs, The Federation of Employers of Ukraine and a number of relevant unions and associations, representatives of the service sector.
