The Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine greatly unbalanced the vertical of anti-corruption infrastructure, which had been created for many years. According to him, there are also many complaints about the work of anti-corruption bodies, but Ukraine has consciously chosen the way to fight corruption and must go through it.

The Speaker of Parliament noted that the Constitutional Court had made its decision so quickly that neither the society, nor the anti-corruption structure, nor the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were ready for it. The decision was also made in violation of the terms of consideration of the case and the regulations of the institution.

At the same time, Dmytro Razumkov stressed that in the current situation, Ukrainian Parliament has demonstrated absolute unity. “I am grateful to my colleagues for supporting the position that Parliament should act quickly and for supporting one of the bills that were submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” he said.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada stressed that Parliament was able to clearly demonstrate its state position in order to preserve the anti-corruption system and the European direction in which the state is moving.

According to Dmytro Razumkov, the introduced bills, designed to temporarily eliminate the problem, are quite debatable, and Parliament will spend some time considering them.
