The resolution was
adopted in order to eliminate the deficit of drinking water supply to the
population and to provide funding for measures to restore water management
systems in the Donetsk region.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appeals to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to provide funding in 2020 from the state budget, including the State Fund for Regional Development. The parliament also calls for assistance in attracting investment funds for the implementation of overhaul and reconstruction projects of the Second Donetsk water supply system of the Municipal Enterprise “Water of Donbas”.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in preparing the draft law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021 should provide for expenditures to finance the implementation of these projects.
