The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov has signed the decree “On convening an extraordinary plenary sitting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation”.
The event is convened on account of the President V.Zelenskyi’s demand and in accordance with part eight of Article 19 of the Verkhovna Rada’s rules of procedure. The meeting is to take place at 10 am on March 17, 2020.
The list of issues to be taken up at the sitting:
1. A draft resolution No.3227 regarding giving parliament’s consent to appointing I.V. Venediktova as the Prosecutor General of Ukraine;
2. A draft resolution No.3226 to appoint I.R. Petrashko as the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The Chief of Staff V. Shtuchnyi is thereby instructed to ensure all needful preparations for a proper holding the March 17 extraordinary sitting of the parliament and to duly inform the corps of deputies about the sitting’s agenda.
