On convening an extraordinary plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation
According to the administrative decree of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov of March 4, 2020, the special meeting is convened in connection with the request of 152 Ukrainian parliamentarians to convoke an extraordinary plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation and in accordance with part eight of Article 19 of the Verkhovna Rada’s rules of procedure.
The parliament will sit at 6:30 pm on March 5. The focal point of the special sitting is thought to be expressing distrust to the Prosecutor General Ruslan Riaboshapka (the draft resolution of the Verkhovna Rada No.3154).
The decree also instructs the VRU Secretariat to ensure the preparation for and holding of the urgent meeting on March 5 as well as the informing Ukrainian parliamentarians about the meeting’s agenda in due course.
