Parliament of Ukraine commences Honour Guard ceremony to be held on weekends and holidays

From now onwards, alongside the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, there will be standing on sentry duty the Guard of Honour of the National Guard of Ukraine.

On Sunday, March 1, 2020, nearby the Parliament of Ukraine, there took place a ceremonial event that has launched the tradition of keeping the guard of honour by the National Guard of Ukraine. The event entailed a guard changing ceremony, a solemn hoisting of the national flag of Ukraine, as well as performances of the orchestra and the “Honour Guard” Special Battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine.

On weekends and holidays servicemen of the battalion are meant to be standing sentry from 10 am to 6 pm, changing every hour.
