On Sunday - March 1, 2020 - there will be held a solemn gathering to commemorate the tradition of standing the Guard of Honour of the National Guard of Ukraine near the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which will then be followed by ceremonial hoisting of Ukraine’s national flag.
Standing the National Guard of Ukraine’s honour guard, as well as raising the national flag in front of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are both believed to take roots as a permanent ceremony of honouring state symbols on weekends and holidays in the sequel.
The event will be attended by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov, the Chief of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat Viacheslav Shtuchnyi, Ukrainian parliamentarians, and the public.
Venue: Kyiv, the Constitution Square – the central entrance to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The event is to start at noon sharp.
