On convening an extraordinary plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation
In accordance with the administrative decree of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of February 28, 2020, the unscheduled meeting of the parliament is convened in connection with a presidential request for convoking an extraordinary plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation, and as provided by part eight of Article 19 of the Verkhovna Rada’s rules of procedure.
The special plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is hence slated for March 4, 2020 – at 4 p.m.
The above decree also instructs the VRU Secretariat to ensure the preparation for and holding of the extraordinary plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and to inform Ukrainian parliamentarians about the meeting’s agenda.
Agenda of the special plenary meeting:
1. Bill No.3003-P regarding the approval of President of Ukraine’s decision as to the admittance to Ukraine’s territory of foreign states' armed forces units for multinational military exercises in 2020.
2. Bill No.3015-P on amendments to the Section VI “Final and Transitional Provisions” of the Law of Ukraine “On national security of Ukraine” regarding becoming valid of provisions upon the commander-in-chief and the general staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and certain branches of armed forces as well.
3. Bill No.0025-U upon the ratification of the Framework Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the French Republic on official support for strengthening maritime safety and security of Ukraine.
4. Bill No.2500-D on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine because of the enactment of the Law of Ukraine “On corruption prevention” (its second reading).
5. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
6. Activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine in the field of fighting corruption and enhancing rule of law.
