Opening today’s sitting of the Conciliation Commission (Board), the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov stated that the coming plenary week does promise to be “a week of toil and moil”, as the controversial farmlands circulation bill No.2178-10 is still under close consideration, let alone a pile of other important papers at stake capable of overburdening the week agenda. With this in mind, he called on parliamentarians to entirely devote themselves to the ongoing work, treating each other with due respect.

The presiding officer then informed that VRada is in receipt of the Cabinet’s activities report, which is scheduled for reviewing this Friday – February 21. The health minister is also reported to deliver his vision upon Ukraine’s coronavirus situation later that day.

Afterwards, the First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk dwelt on the current plan for legislative drafting activities.

Representatives of parliamentary factions and groups then spoke at the meeting as well.

Once again, the first vice speaker stressed that the farmlands circulation bill is of grave importance and it is about the launch of Ukraine’s land market, and not the sellout of local agricultural lands.

At this point the presiding officer closed the sitting.
