The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov opened Thursday’s plenary session.

 

The morning section

 

The Chairman gave the floor to representatives of the parliamentary factions and groups to make their announcements, statements, and proposals.

By 226 ayes parliamentarians agreed to elongate today’s evening plenary section until 19:30.

After the speeches, the Verkhovna Rada carried the agenda of the ongoing meeting.

  • Second reading

1.Bill No.2178-10 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding agricultural lands circulation”.

2.Bill No.2571 (including the bills Nos.2571-1, 2571-2, 2571-3 as alternates) “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding specific issues of the functioning of the banking system”.

3.Bill No.1067-d “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding faster de-regulation of business operations”.

4.Bill No.2390 “On amendments to the Bankruptcy Code of Ukraine (as to the measures aimed to cover backlog of debts on the wholesale electricity market)”.

5.Bill No.2382 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine to improve the investment climate (regarding the abolition of state registration for joint investment agreements (contracts)”.

6.Bill No.2576 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On public television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine’ (regarding enhancing efficiency of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine)”.

7.Bill No.2478 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On legal status of foreigners and stateless persons’ regarding submitting their biometric data for visa purposes”.

8.Bill No.2590 “On amendments to certain laws of Ukraine regarding citizenship matters”.

9.Bill No.0972 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On compulsory state pension insurance’ regarding improving the pension provision”, with presidential proposals dated 31.01.2015.

10.Bill No.1015 “On amendments to Article 93 of the Constitution of Ukraine (regarding vesting the people with legislative initiative)”.

11.Bill No.1016 “On amendments to Articles 85 and 101 of the Constitution of Ukraine (regarding commissioners of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine)”.

12.Bill No.1027 “On amendments to Article 81 of the Constitution of Ukraine (regarding supplementary grounds for early termination of powers of a Ukrainian parliamentarian)”.

13.An array of Verkhovna Rada’s resolutions.

 

The presiding officer called the chamber to order and encouraged lawmakers to get down to brass tacks. MPs then proceeded to the business of the day.

The bill “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding agricultural lands circulation” is under consideration. The work on amendments is to be resumed at the evening session.
