The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov held a meeting with William Taylor, the acting United States ambassador to Ukraine.
During the meeting, Dmytro Razumkov highlighted the effective interaction between Ukraine and the United States of America and thanked for its assistance in the economic and international spheres. "We feel a great deal of assistance from the United States and highly appreciate the substantial contribution of the USAID RADA Programme to upbuilding democracy and parliamentarism," the speaker stated.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized that the parliament is continually receiving support from the Programme, which many common areas of activity have been developed with. In particular, with the assistance of the USAID RADA Programme there was established an educational center, which is currently delivering lectures to children from all over Ukraine.
Within the framework of the Programme implementation there are held field meetings aimed at carrying out enlightening activities, developed reference materials for newly elected parliamentarians and much more.
In particular, the Speaker thanked for the logistical assistance rendered to Ukraine by the United States of America, and expressed his hope that Ukrainian-American relations would continue to be as effective as before.
Dmytro Razumkov also participated in the presentation of the US Government establishments in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
