Opening today’s sitting of the Conciliation Commission, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov commented on the recent Russian State Duma Chairman V.Volodin’s statement: “There are no small, medium or big nations in Ukraine. Ukrainian nation is in Ukraine. It may be of many nationalities, it can speak different languages, but it is one nation in an integral state and I would like to assure everyone that if there are some hopes that certain territories would "fall off", then those are only dreams. And we, as a state, as the Verkhovna Rada, will make every effort to unite, consolidate our society”.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada also apprised the audience about the issues to be considered during the current plenary week. This week MPs may consider the electoral code together with the proposals made by the President of Ukraine.
Public hearings on the coming agricultural land market are scheduled for Wednesday, 15:30 pm. The first vice speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk is thought to chair the said hearings.
The Chairman gave the floor to the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, who informed those in attendance about the last weeks achievements and some issues to be seen into during the ongoing plenary week, including the bills Nos. 1209, 1210 – laws on de-oligarchization and deoffshorization, 2314 – on procedural filters, 2300 - de-monopolization of the alcohol market.
The Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk informed about organizational issues.
Representatives of parliamentary factions and groups then spoke at the meeting. They agreed that on December 6 the economic development minister Tymofii Mylovanov would be heard within the traditional ‘ask the government’ hour format.
